Improving safety and access along Kamehameha Highway, this 23-month infrastructure project replaces the aging Laieloa Stream Bridge with a new, modern structure—minimizing disruption while keeping the community informed every step of the way.

Objective

The project website serves as a public outreach tool designed to inform the community about the project, including its objectives and goals. Our goal is to minimize disruptions and ensure that highway users, local businesses, and nearby neighborhoods receive timely and accurate updates throughout the duration of the project.

Project Scope

The scope of work for this project includes the construction of a diversion road with a temporary bridge, the demolition of the existing Laieloa Stream Bridge, and the construction of a new bridge along with its approach roadways. Additional work consists of installing guardrails and end treatments, signage and striping, implementing work zone traffic control measures, and replacing or installing street lighting and various utilities.

Laieloa Bridge

MIRA Image Construction, LLC will be demolishing and replacing the Laieloa Stream Bridge and installing guardrails, end treatments, signage and striping, street lights, and replacing/installing various utilities.
